二极管损耗
 
在传统的整流中采用二极管整流,而在低电压输出条件下一般采用肖特基二极管整流,肖特基二极管和其他整流二极管相比具有开关速度快,正向电压降低的优点,但是肖特基二极管的正向电压降和整流输出电流的大小有关,整流输出电流越大则正向电压降越大,有可能高达0.5~0.6V或更大,并且肖特基二极管的反向漏电流较大。
 
而同步整流技术利用导通电阻小,低耐电压的场效应管(MOSFET)来代替普通整流二极管。由于同步整流MOSFET具有导通电阻低(一般只有几mΩ)、阻断时漏电流小、开关工作频率高的特点,可以*的减小电源整流部分的功耗,使电源系统的工作效率明显得到提高,但是在具体应用中同步整流的实现要比二极管整流要复杂些。在开关电源的低电压大电流输出应用场合,同步整流技术有着很好的应用前景。
 
磁性元器件的损耗
 
变压器损耗也是模块开关电源损耗的重要部分,变压器损耗主要有铁损和铜损。铁损是指由由变压器的材料、形状、工艺结构等有关因素而引起的高频损耗,铜损是指由变压器绕组线路而引起的传导损耗,为了减小变压器的铁损,应选择高频特性好、高频损耗小、磁芯结构形状合理、结构紧凑的磁芯材料。
 
同时为了减小模块开关电源的体积,应尽力提高模块开关电源的开关工作频率,如要提高到500kHz左右或更高,普通磁芯材料的损耗很大,磁芯很容易过热而磁饱和,以至无法正常工作,所以在模块开关电源中必须选用磁特性优良的高频磁芯材料。
 
磁性元器件的尺寸大小和开关工作频率有密切关系,在磁性元器件允许的工作频率范围内,磁性元器件的尺寸和开关工作频率成反比,要想减小模块开关电源高频开关变压器和电感等磁性元器件的体积,需提高开关工作频率。
 
同时,模块开关电源中高频开关变压器绕组的设计也很重要,高频开关变压器的绕组不仅对铜损有影响,而且关系到高频开关变压器绕组间的耦合,对高频开关变压器的铁损也有影响,高频开关变压器的设计和制作对模块开关电源的工作性能有很大的影响[1] 。
